ARTIST & ILLUSTRATOR

Hello, I am Sonni, an Argentian artist based in New York City.

I like to use charcoal, colored pencils, latex paint, and Adobe Illustrator to make things with layers upon layers of meaning: some erased, some covering, some asking you to look deeper.

Through the use of primary colors, geometric shapes, and vibrant patterns, I express my curious observations of the human experience.

I work on projects starting from conception to the strategy phase to the design, art direction, and final production of a project. I believe in creating beautiful, intent-driven work that functions for everyday life and resonates with everyone.

On this website, you’ll find selected works from branding to advertising to art, as well as drawings and prints I invite you to collect from my shop.

SELECTED ART

CENTRO CULTURAL
RECOLETA

#PUBLIC WORKS

Inspired by a series of conversations with more than 500 young people all over Argentina, this project features a series of vignettes expressing the accounts of those who shared their emotions, perceptions, and desires amid the pandemic.

Directed by the art director of Centro Cultural Recoleta, Luis Gimelli, the exhibition takes the form of murals interspersed throughout the ground floor and an upstairs corridor in the Centro Cultural Recoleta—an exhibition and cultural events center operated by the Ministry of Culture located in the barrio of Recoleta in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

KIEHL’S

#ILLUSTRATION PROJECTS

Kiehl’s, the apothecary skincare brand, tapped me to create illustrations that celebrate the brand’s roots in New York City for packaging, labels, signage, and other merchandise.

The campaign was designed specifically for Single’s Day, the “single” largest shopping occasion and unofficial Chinese holiday that celebrates people who are not in relationships.
